Allergy-Test (Prick, Rub, Scrach, i.c.)
By using the tests we try to identify the trigger-substance(s) (allergens) for allergic reactions. It takes 20-30 minutes. The skin has to be slightly “pricked” during this test. The days before the test no antihistaminic drugs (“allergy-tablets") should be used. In doubtful cases the diagnostic is extended by nasal provocation-tests.
Allergy-tests are needed before Specific Immune Therapy (SIT / Hyposensibilisation) is initiated.
